Whole-Community Wellness Starts Here

The Timmons Foundation's Community Health & Wellness program delivers two integrated initiatives, mental health awareness and community clinic health education, directly to the underserved youth and families we serve. We meet communities where they are, using trusted relationships built through sports and nutrition access to open doors to health resources that change lives.

Why Community Health Cannot Wait

Underserved communities across America face a compounding health crisis. Mental health disorders affect 1 in 5 adults nationally, yet in the communities the Timmons Foundation serves, access to mental health support is limited by cost, stigma, and a shortage of trusted messengers. At the same time, preventable chronic diseases driven by lack of health education continue to disproportionately harm families who cannot access basic preventive care.

The Timmons Foundation exists to close that gap by embedding mental health awareness and health education into community spaces families already trust. Through youth sports tournaments, ProduceRx distributions, and community wellness events, we create one trusted point of connection for a broader range of health needs.

What Our Mental Health Program Delivers

Mental Health First Aid

Community members, parents, coaches, and youth program participants are trained to recognize the early signs of mental health challenges and connect individuals with appropriate care, support resources, and provider referrals.

Awareness & Education Events

Workshops, community events, and educational programming designed to normalize mental health conversations, reduce stigma, and build community understanding of available mental health resources — delivered in the community spaces families already trust

Peer Support & Provider Connection

Trained peer support specialists help community members navigate available mental health resources, understand their options, and connect with licensed providers in their area — removing the barriers that prevent underserved families from seeking help

PROGRAM TWO

Clinical Health

Community Clinic Health & Education

Access to basic health education and preventive care should not be determined by zip code. The Timmons Foundation's Community Clinic Health program partners with local health clinics and community health organizations to deliver wellness education workshops, health screenings, and chronic disease prevention resources directly to the families we serve.

This program is currently in active partnership development. The Timmons Foundation is identifying and formalizing clinic partnerships in each of our active markets — Dallas–Fort Worth and Delaware — with a goal of launching structured clinic health programming in Year 1 of full operation.

What Our Community Clinic Health Program Will Deliver

Health Screenings at Community Events

Free or low-cost health screenings — including blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI, and general wellness assessments — delivered at youth sports tournaments, ProduceRx distributions, and community events where families are already present and engaged.

Wellness Education Workshops

Structured workshops on chronic disease prevention, nutrition education, and healthy lifestyle practices — designed for underserved families and delivered in partnership with local health clinics and community health workers.

Clinic Partnership & Care Navigation

Formal partnerships with local health clinics give community members a direct pathway to affordable care. The Foundation connects families with partner clinics, helps navigate insurance and sliding-scale payment options, and supports continuity of care for individuals with chronic conditions.

The Timmons Foundation's Community Clinic Health program is currently in active partnership development. These services represent our program model for Year 1 of full operation. If you represent a health clinic or community health organization interested in partnering with us, we want to hear from you.

We Are Building Our Partner Network

The Timmons Foundation is actively recruiting mental health professionals and community health clinics to join our growing partner network in Dallas–Fort Worth, Delaware, and future expansion markets.
